Reader Response To Inner And Outer Lives
One reader, who said he enjoyed the post on the inner and outer lives, had this to share:
I used to be able to quote a slew of scripture and help you understand doctrine and theology. But for all that training and education, there has been little relationship with God.
Much of that is due to [an] addiction which draws me away from relationship, the whole “you can’t serve two masters” idea.
I have been enjoying, of late, birthing a relationship with God. Though I don’t know that I have found intimacy or relationship, I am sure trying. Though old, I have picked up ‘The Imitation of Christ’ by Augustine and have found it useful as a devotional.
I have also (though truly more theology) been enjoying Watchman Nee’s ‘The Normal Christian Life’ as he distinguishes between the sin and the sinner, the need for forgiveness and the greater need raised from the dead. No longer a sinner!
