The Burbs And ‘Safety’
i had to post a quick link to a very interesting post by Andy Crouch about the suburbs and “safe” places to live.
As one well acquainted with the suburbs, as is Andy, i can say he’s got valid points here. Perhaps not everything Andy shares rings true equally for all suburban life, but we would do well to disabuse ourselves of our false senses of security.
My favorite is his concluding line:
All this takes precedence over a dangerous ride with God on the frontlines of His movement.
