Intentional Warriors
We live in a culture heavily influenced by porn, as chronicled by Time reporter Pamela Paul in her book Pornified, as well as other places.
You can read the introduction here.
Our society has reached a saturation level according to these, and other statistics. And yet, most of us aren’t aware of how much it shapes our popular culture.
Pornography harms. Often it leads to addiction. Often it leads to divorce.
It always robs men of their masculinity. And it always inflicts heavy damage on women — both those in the industry and outside the industry.
Many of us know the destruction of pornography first hand and this is why Intentional Warriors was born. We are a movement of men fighting for purity and freedom in a sexually saturated society. As the primary architect of this movement i can speak from experience: i was addicted to pornography and it almost cost me my marriage, family and who knows what else.
There is a growing awareness among some men; they are seeing how their involvement with pornography has wreaked havoc with their lives, their marriages, their jobs and all of the facets of their lives. Many men are realizing that what they thought was freedom, actually turned out to be slavery. They have been trapped by pornography, and now they must fight for their freedom.
Men, created in the image of God, are designed to be warriors (Exodus 15:3).
Many times a man doesn’t know what his warrior nature was designed for, and he wastes his efforts fighting for the wrong things. Fighting for purity and freedom in a sexually saturated society is the right battle. It brings life and healing; it rescues people from self-destruction. It honors women and establishes authentic masculinity.
We can fight. We can win. We must be intentional.
