That’s A Lot Of Porn
According to a brief story in the Daily Caller, a search engine devoted strictly to porn — pornwatchers.com — has tracked usage and found that on just two sites alone, users have watched the equivalent of 1.2 million year’s worth of porn.
That’s right — 1.2 million years. Is it a fossil?
And that’s just since 2006, story says.
Apparently two sites, YouPorn and xHamster, have amassed that much traffic, the story says.
Of course that doesn’t even consider the countless other sites on the web with X-rated content. Nor does it account for magazines, videos, cable and satellite television, and in-person visits to adult bookstores, strip clubs or prostitutes.
i think this qualifies for the definitions pornified and hypersexualized. It should also lay to rest any argument that we are not swimming in porn as a society. The math alone shows that culturally we are consuming vast quantities of porn and we all know that we are what we eat.
Our reaction to pornification is either to go along with it, or to resist it. But if we are going to resist it we must have a plan.
This is where Intentional Warriors, and specifically, Intentional Warriors: Fighting For Purity And Freedom In A Sexually Saturated Society (the ebook), come in. The movement as a whole, and the book in particular give you the resources you need to live in purity and freedom.
