Joseph’s reaction to Potiphar’s wife is nothing short of amazing. And it is the response we must emulate.
Every day Potiphar’s wife called to Joseph, tempting him to sexual sin. Every day our pornified culture does the same to us. The ultimate in passivity: porn comes to you, you don’t even have to go find it.
One of the many great things about Joseph and his reaction is that he obviously had the resources spiritually to resist and make the right decision in the midst of serious temptation. It was not an accident that Joseph chose righteousness and purity in that situation.
And if we are going to make the right choices as he did, it won’t be the result of an accident either. This is why we must be Intentional Warriors. The battle is real and it comes to us every day.
