PureHope’s Thoughts On Purity
i am working on “How We Break Free, Part 2,” but in the meantime, here’ s thoughtful post from the good folks at PureHope.
The thing i like about this post is the way God deepened the author’s understanding of purity from the perspective of a whole, integrated life that goes well beyond simply avoiding sexual intercourse until marriage.
As long as we have a limited understanding of what God’s heart is for us we will live small lives that miss out on the abundant life Jesus offers (John 10:10).
Here’s one tasty morsel from this very excellent post:
God is highlighting for me that a true Christ-follower needs to protect their own mind as well as love and protect the mind of their neighbor. I’m not done with the purification of my own heart (because it will never be finished until glory), but I am moving forward in Christ’s finished work.
